Ao No Exorcist Anime Episode Synopsis

The anime started airing on April 17 2011. This was produced by A-1 pictures and directed by Tensai Okamura. It falls under the action, fantasy and supernatural genre.

The anime shows us two worlds; Assiah (the human world) and Gehenna (that of the demons). Demons have crossed over to Assiah by containing themselves on humans and things that existed within it. The god of the demons, Satan, mated with a human so that he could use his offspring (very powerful of course) to travel to the human world. He had twins, Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura. Yukio's body is so weak since birth so he was not able to inherit satan's powers unlike Rin. They were adopted by Father Fujimoto, an exorcist. Rin was unaware of this fact until he had his first encounter with a demon. He unleashed a blue flame and Father Fujimoto came to save him and told him about his history. Will Rin become one of the demons? Or will he choose to become an exorcist and save Assiah?

The episode started with priests and exorcists performing a ritual to protect Assiah. One by one, the possessed bodies present on the ritual began to explode. Meanwhile, Rin saw a gang trying to kill a group of stray pigeons. He confronted them and got into a fight. He went home wounded and with a news that he got fired on his job. The boys on the church made fun of him and told him that he was nothing compared to his twin brother, Yukio Okumura. Yukio is smart, hardworking and an achiever. He is the opposite of Rin who hates school and is troublesome and clumsy. Yukio healed his wounds.

One of the priests barged in and told him about a part-time job at Southern Cross Mall. He accepted the job. On his first day, he can't seem to do anything right. He's so clumsy that he can break things inside the mall and always hurt his employer. He was so disheartened until he tried cooking fried soba which is not selling inside the mall. He drew a lot of attention from the customers and pleased his employer that she finally accepted him.

The people at the abbey are celebrating a farewell party for Yukio who is moving away to study at True Cross Academy. Rin was on his way home when he saw a little girl, Yui, chasing her scarf. He caught the scarf for her. At first, Rin thought it maybe due to the wind but a weird and small creature became visible and took away the scarf. It went inside the mall. Yukio chased it, got the scarf and protected the girl from falling boxes. Unfortunately, he got fired.

Yukio fetched him and he went home with a broken heart. Yui's father came to the their home and thanked him. He told him that Yui always had accidents. Rin disagreed and told him that she was being bullied which leads to Yui's confession of seeing ghosts and being tortured by them. However, her father would not believe her. Rin's father came in between and lectured Yui's father to protect her so that she could have someone to depend on. Before their departure, the exorcist gave Yui a four-leaf clover.

Yukio moved the next day. Rin went outside after reading a note from his brother. He noticed little flying creatures and wondered why anyone doesn't seem to care about them.A group of boys he fought the other day came up to him, apologized and asked for his free time. However, it was actually a hoax. There he went with him but all they did was mock him. The leader of the boys also said that his brother worked his ass off and that he could not even pay his tuition fee. This heated up the situation and finally, Astaroth, the demon revealed himself. He was about to scorch a red flaming hot steel to Rin when the latter released blue flames to protect himself. The accomplices of the demon ran away in terror. Astaroth revealed his intentions. He wanted to determine if Rin is actually the one he's looking for. He called him young master and that Lord Satan is waiting for him. Fortunately, Fujimoto came and banished the demon from the boy's body. The latter fell unconscious.

His father then told him about everything he needed to know. He told him about coal tar which hangs on to dust and gathers around dark places and evil humans. He told him about the two dimensions; Assiah, human's material world and Gehenna, the nothingness of the demons. The two are not supposed to interfere with each other but demons came in contact with Assiah because they possess materials within it. However, there's one shocking truth above all this. Rin is the son of a demon born of a human. What The exorcist wanted him to do is hide.
